Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ Course Access Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective date: May 28, 2026
This policy applies to direct purchases from Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ for our online PTCB-recognized education/training course, optional course-access renewals, and any optional third-party voucher bundle purchased through Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠.
By purchasing course access, you are purchasing time-limited access to online coursework. Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ is a course provider. The course does not award a degree, diploma, academic credit, license, state credential, occupational certification, job placement, or employment outcome. PTCB certification is awarded only by PTCB after a separate application and exam process. State-specific requirements and course availability may vary.
1. Key terms
Course access means access to the online course materials for the access period shown at checkout. Unless a different access period is shown at checkout, the standard course access period is 6 months from purchase.
Course access fee means the amount you paid for course access after discounts, excluding any optional third-party voucher, optional monthly renewal, taxes, payment-processing fees, financing fees, or other third-party charges unless those amounts are refundable under applicable law or the third-party issuer’s rules.
Learner progress means the percentage of course modules completed, based on LMS/server records at the time your refund request is received.
Optional monthly course-access renewal means an optional recurring monthly purchase that extends or continues course access after the applicable course access period, if offered and purchased.
Optional voucher bundle means an optional purchase that may include a third-party exam application fee voucher or other third-party resource. Voucher issuer rules apply.
2. 7-day refund guarantee
You may request a 100% refund of the course access fee if both of the following are true:
- You submit the refund request within 7 calendar days after purchase; and
- You have completed 10% or less of the course modules.
If you purchased an optional voucher bundle, the voucher portion is refundable only if the voucher has not been issued, assigned, redeemed, used, or otherwise made non-returnable by the voucher issuer. If the voucher issuer does not allow return or credit, the voucher amount is excluded from the refund.
Approved refunds end course access.
3. Limited partial refund after the 7-day period
After the 7-day refund period, limited partial refunds may be available for unused or lightly used course access as follows:

This limited partial refund applies only to the course access fee actually paid after discounts. It does not apply to optional vouchers, optional monthly renewals, third-party charges, taxes, payment-processing fees, financing fees, or other non-returnable amounts unless required by applicable law.
Approved refunds end course access.
4. When refunds are not available
Except for the 7-day refund guarantee, the PTCE Non-Pass Guarantee, billing errors, duplicate charges, unresolved platform-access issues described below, or non-waivable rights under applicable law, refunds are not available for:
- failure to use the course;
- lack of time to complete the course;
- change of mind after the applicable refund window;
- completing more than 50% of the course;
- completing the course;
- expiration of the course access period;
- failure to schedule or take the PTCE;
- a third-party decision by PTCB, an employer, licensing body, registration body, or other third party;
- account sharing, unauthorized resale, misuse, fraud, or violation of the Terms of Use;
- optional monthly renewal charges after the charge has been incurred, except as stated below;
- issued, assigned, redeemed, expired, or non-returnable third-party vouchers.
5. PTCE Non-Pass Guarantee
Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ offers a PTCE Non-Pass Guarantee for eligible direct purchasers.
This guarantee is not a promise that you will pass the PTCE. PTCB controls PTCE eligibility, application approval, exam administration, scoring, and certification decisions.
To qualify, all of the following must be true:
- You purchased course access directly from Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ for your own individual use.
- You completed all required course modules within 180 days after purchase.
- At least 21 calendar days passed between your first recorded course activity and your course completion date.
- You took the PTCE within 365 days after your original course access purchase date.
- You submitted an official PTCE score report showing a non-passing result within 30 days after the PTCE attempt.
- Your account is in good standing, with no unresolved chargeback, payment reversal, account sharing, fraud, or Terms of Use violation.
- The guarantee has not already been used for the same learner or purchase.
If you qualify, you may choose one of the following:
- a free 180-day course access extension; or
- a refund of the course access fee you actually paid for the initial course purchase.
The PTCE Non-Pass Guarantee does not refund optional vouchers, optional monthly renewals, third-party charges, taxes, payment-processing fees, financing fees, or other non-course-access amounts unless required by applicable law.
The guarantee does not apply if you do not take the PTCE, miss the exam, cancel the exam, fail to submit the required score report, submit altered or incomplete documentation, or are not approved by PTCB to take the exam.
If you choose a refund under this guarantee, your course access ends when the refund is approved.
6. Optional third-party vouchers
Optional vouchers are administered by third parties and may be subject to issuer rules, expiration dates, and non-returnability terms.
A voucher is non-refundable once it has been issued, assigned, redeemed, used, expired, or made non-returnable by the issuer. If an unredeemed voucher can be returned or credited under the issuer’s rules, Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ will pass through the credit or refund we actually receive for that voucher.
A voucher does not guarantee PTCB eligibility, PTCE application approval, exam passage, certification, licensure, registration, employment, or any state-specific outcome.
7. Optional monthly course-access renewal
If you purchase an optional monthly course-access renewal, the renewal price, billing frequency, and cancellation method will be shown before payment.
Unless canceled, the optional monthly renewal charges automatically each month at the disclosed price. You may cancel future renewal charges:
- online through your account dashboard; or
- by emailing [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated at the time of cancellation, you may continue using paid renewal access through the end of the then-current paid renewal period.
Monthly renewal charges are non-refundable after they are charged, except for duplicate charges, billing errors, charges made after a properly submitted cancellation, or where applicable law requires otherwise.
8. Technical access issues and billing errors
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, charged twice, charged after cancellation, or unable to access the course because of a Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ platform issue, contact us promptly at [email protected].
If we confirm a billing error, duplicate charge, or post-cancellation charge, we will refund or correct the error.
If a Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ platform issue materially prevents course access and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, we may provide a refund, access extension, or other reasonable remedy. This does not apply to issues caused by your internet connection, device, browser settings, employer restrictions, failure to maintain login credentials, or failure to use a compatible device.
9. Organization, employer, and bulk purchases
Purchases by employers, organizations, associations, educational organizations, or other partners are governed by the signed agreement or purchase order for that purchase.
If there is no signed agreement stating otherwise, organization or bulk purchases are non-refundable, but unused access codes may be reassigned within 12 months after purchase. Voucher handling follows the applicable voucher issuer’s rules.
Individual learners using access purchased by an organization should direct payment and refund questions to the organization that purchased the access unless Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ collected payment directly from the learner.
10. How to request a refund or cancellation
To request a refund or cancel future renewal charges, use either method below:
- Account dashboard: Dashboard → Purchases → [Course or Renewal] → Request Refund or Cancel Renewal; or
- Email: send a message from the email address associated with your account to [email protected] with the subject line “Refund Request” or “Cancel Renewal.”
Please include your name, account email, order number if available, and the purchase you are asking about.
Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 10 business days after approval unless a different timeframe is required by applicable law. Your bank, card issuer, payment processor, or financing provider may take additional time to post the refund.
11. Payment disputes and chargebacks
A payment dispute or chargeback does not create refund rights beyond this policy or any non-waivable rights under applicable law.
If a charge is reversed, disputed, or unpaid, Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ may suspend course access while the payment status is unresolved. If the payment dispute is resolved in Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠’s favor, we may restore access for the remaining course access period. If the charge is reversed or refunded, course access ends.
While payment status is unresolved, Pharmacy Tech Scholar℠ may decline to reissue or verify course completion documentation.
12. Course completion documentation
Learners who complete the course may receive a Course Completion Confirmation for PTCB-related documentation purposes.
A Course Completion Confirmation confirms course completion only. It is not a degree, diploma, academic credit, license, state credential, occupational certification, guarantee of PTCB exam eligibility, guarantee of exam passage, proof of employment qualification, or proof of state school approval.
13. Non-waiver of required rights
This policy applies to the fullest extent permitted by law. If applicable law gives you a non-waivable refund, cancellation, billing, or consumer right that is greater than the rights described in this policy, the applicable legal right controls.
