I think the course is excellent. It is very comprehensive and thorough, covering all the information on each section of the PTCE. The videos are well organized and easy to follow. I liked that the drug section was introduced early so I could review the drug information while continuing with the course. The calculations were broken down and explained in a way that any pharmacy calculation can be solved. The YouTube calculation videos were helpful. Dr. Emmel works out every problem, step by step, so they are easy to follow and understand. The live sessions allow questions to be addressed and cover additional topics. They are also recorded if they occur at a time you can’t attend. I also appreciated the fact I could message Dr. Emmel at any time during the course with questions and to clarify ideas and he responds very quickly. Thank you for creating this course. It was just what I needed to refresh my pharmacy knowledge.

I enjoyed getting to watched detailed videos but also allowing us the read the slides for each lesson. I also like to be able have links that also go into more detail about what we’re learning. The quizzes are very helpful to make sure that I know what I’ve learned.

I really enjoyed being able to complete the course online. The lectures were informative and easy to follow. Taking exams at the end of each course allowed for me to be able to have a full understanding of what I was learning. Being able to connect with the instructor at any time was comforting The course was not easy however it was presented in a way that allowed for me to learn and be successful in completing. I was happy to know that I could complete it on my own time and was able to extend the time I needed. Thank you!

Each section is a deep dive into the topic with a lot of supplemental study material. The only thing I didn’t like was the inability to do a mock exam for sections if you hadn’t completed the previous mock exam. (ex. if you hadn’t taken the Medication mock exam, you couldn’t take the Federal Requirements mock exam.) All in all a very helpful course!

The course provided just enough information in enough detail. There is plenty of support with scheduled (optional) virtual meetings where you can ask questions, and also a student forum. Using this course, I was able to pass the PTCE.

In the time I have been working on completing this course, I am very much impressed with the quality and functionality of this website and all the features it presents. A lot has clearly gone into the making of this website alone, up to date information is in the course and the video lectures are updated frequently. I feel confident in reviewing this material that I have been given for passing the PTCE and achieve my national certification. I also had my own personal life get in the way of studying for this, in October of 2024 I was affected by a natural disaster and unfortunately lost my car for three and a half months, along with my grandfather passing away following my car being repaired. I lost a lot of time to complete this course, and upon mentioning it to Dr. Emmel, he granted me a complimentary 6 month extension due to my circumstances. Without that I would not have been able to finish on time, and so I greatly thank Dr. Emmel for this and it is a reflection of the man behind the course and what all has been put into this to help those wanting to become pharmacy technicians. I also like the weekly lectures where you can join in with other participants of the course to ask live questions and get assistance with any areas they might be lacking in. Overall a very thorough course and study guide with up to date information.

The course content was exceptionally engaged. The lectures were well-structured, and the real-world examples made the complex topics easy to understand. I particularly enjoyed the interactive quizzes that reinforced learning.

I don’t have a good attention span but the presenter did a great job saying important and interesting information. I also liked his empathy when he said things like “Youre almost there” at the start and end of videos.

The Pharmacy Tech Scholar Course has really had a positive impact on me not only educationally, but has helped me to become a more informed consumer of my own healthcare, and well being, for example, I am much more knowledgeable, and aware of Over-the-Counter medications that I now purchase, reading labels, taking note of side effects, drug interactions with other medications, which in the past I was not aware of how crucial this was. The course, and all the educational materials presented, and offered, are both comprehensive, straightforward and informative. I greatly enjoyed the course, one area that I am especially proud, is that my mathematical skills have definitely improved, which has given me a confidence that I never had before. The resources provided are exceptional, and accessible. Above all Dr. Emmel is an excellent Instructor, He genuinely cares about each student performance, and success, and will go above, and beyond to explain, or respond to a question asked, or if clarification is needed. Dr. Emmel is very knowledgeable, and is definitely an asset to the Pharmacy Profession. This Pharmacy Tech Scholar Course, is a very affordable investment in one’s career, and has undoubtedly prepared me, and will launch my future career in Pharmacy.

Going into a class about pharmaceuticals was extremely intimidating because I had never studied or worked in anything related to the healthcare industry. Despite that, the class remained helpful, allowing me to slowly build an understanding of the field until I felt more confident about taking everything on. On top of that, I managed to do it all roughly at my own pace, given extensions due to difficulties outside of the class.
